EDF Energy and the Southwest Nuclear Hub at the University of Bristol are pleased to announce a unique opportunity for three nuclear MSc students to be sponsored by EDF Energy. The sponsorship will include:
- A bursary of £1,000 over the duration of the study
- An EDF Energy mentor
- A 3 month research project and summer placement at EDF Energy
- Streamlining directly into an EDF Energy assessment centre
The sponsorship is subject to security clearance and is open to home/EU/international students. Eligible students will be expected to apply during their first week on the nuclear MSc at the University of Bristol in order to be considered for the sponsorship scheme. A selection panel comprised of EDF Energy and University of Bristol representatives will select successful candidates from a shortlist of applicants (details to be announced nearer the time). It is expected that three candidates with backgrounds in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical and/or Civil Engineering will be selected, although other relevant scientific disciplines will also be considered.

About the South West Nuclear Hub
The South West Nuclear Hub provides a focus for nuclear innovation, research and teaching in the south west of the UK. With a dedicated building, opened in summer 2016 at the University of Bristol, the Hub will introduce a step-change across Higher Education in the region to accelerate and grow nuclear research and teaching activities.
