The South West Nuclear Hub team are based at the University of Bristol, UK. Together we forge and maintain collaborations between our Academic and Applied Research Members to deliver research and innovation to the UK Nuclear Industry and promote work and outcomes to the wider community.
Research & Strategy Manager
Tom has a background in technical management in the nuclear sector. After graduating from the University of Bristol with a Master's in Physics, Tom completed the nucleargraduates scheme. Tom spent four years in Sellafield Ltd’s Central Technical directorate leading innovation projects in remote decommissioning, then spent four years at UK Research and Innovation, managing funding portfolios and later business cases for large research infrastructure projects.
Tom is responsible for the strategy and implementation of the Hub. Day-to-day Tom connects members in new collaborations; develops new research and innovation programmes; and helps strengthen the nuclear skills pipeline.

Partnerships Project Officer
Louise is the newest member of the Hub Team having joined in January 2024. She brings a wealth of experience from across professional and business services to the South West Nuclear Hub network, applying a wealth of knowledge gained from previous roles in Higher Education and Government.
Responsible for leading on member priorities and management, Louise is passionate about building lasting relationships by providing a greater customer experience. Alongside building up our membership network, Louise also ensures Hub operations run smoothly.
