Modelling in Nuclear Science and Engineering Seminar

Covid-19 note from the organisers: Subject to any special measures being in place at this time, we are assuming at least a limited physical attendance, and are therefore planning around this likelihood, along with an interactive webcast.  Should restrictions prevent physical attendance, then the Seminar will be delivered purely via an on-line platform.

The Nuclear Institute is delighted to announce this year’s Modelling in Nuclear Science and Engineering seminar will be held at Bangor University, North Wales.

The University’s Nuclear Futures Institute is developing a world-leading capability in nuclear science and engineering, fostering industrial links and opportunities and works closely with the BWR Hub. The Nuclear Futures Institute is also a key partner in the EPSRC sponsored Centre for Doctoral Training in Nuclear Energy Futures.

This event is designed to further explore recent innovative developments in engineering simulation, and inspire the modelling communities in order to help reduce uncertainties associated with the analysis that in many cases support the plant design, its supporting safety case and operation.

Our 2020 event will see a mixture of invited prominent speakers from the nuclear community, where the latest advances and learning from modelling in nuclear science and engineering will be discussed; and we are seeking abstracts from designers, practitioners or researchers who wish to submit a presentation at this popular seminar.
