Rising Stars Workshop 2024

The Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) ran their second “NEA Global Forum Rising Stars Workshop in Nuclear Education, Science, Technology and Policy” last month, inviting women in the nuclear sector from across the world to support career progression, mentorship and sustain network building. The workshop took place in The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Karlsruhe, Germany on 25-26 November 2024.

The workshop is an effort form the NEA to increase direct engagement with academic institutions that are responsible for developing the next generation of nuclear science and technology experts.

“The Rising Stars Workshop was a fantastic event which enabled me to create connections with women from across the world and establish new collaborations with fellow actinide scientists who I may not have met without this opportunity."

Lottie received nominations from various colleagues at the University of Bristol's Interface analysis Centre

This event followed the successful inaugural workshop last year. The workshop programme included invited talks from participants to share their work and experiences, a career focused panel session and mentoring & networking opportunities.
